At LifeLine’s EMS Academy, our goal is to equip our students with the knowledge, skills, and professionalism they’re going to need to excel as Emergency Medical Technicians in Michigan. Our Michigan EMT Training Program is designed to bring out the best in every student, providing Michigan communities competent EMTs that are ready to serve. Our EMS program encompasses three different courses: AEMT Course, EMT-Basic Course, and EMR Course, all aimed at meeting different levels of EMS, EMT and Paramedic needs.

With clear prerequisites and a transparent registration process, our program takes into account your career goals, existing commitments, and learning preferences. We also help our students prepare for the NREMT Exam, providing guidance and resources to maximize their chances of success.

Achieving Excellence in EMT: Comprehensive Overview of Our Program

Our EMT training program is not just about teaching you theoretical concepts; it’s about giving you practical skills that you can apply in real-life scenarios. This philosophy reflects in our specialized courses, which include both classroom-based and hands-on training components. We provide our student EMTs with detailed practical experiences; from working on ambulances that are in-duty where you’ll gain experience with live patients to working with veteran pre-hospital care professionals. You will be placed in certain scenarios that will test your problem-solving skills and preparedness for EMTs working in high-stress situations.

In addition, we will also be instilling a solid and clear understanding of the ethical considerations that EMTs face. We believe that an exceptional EMT not only possesses practical skills but also demonstrates compassion, professionalism, and ethical responsibility. That’s why our EMT training includes modules on these soft skills, which are as crucial in this field as the hard skills.

8 Week EMR Course

THIS COURSE IS DESIGNED FOR HIGHER EDUCATION AND IS TAUGHT AT THE COLLEGE LEVEL 

Tuition: $700.00     Deposit: $100.00 

(Course MUST be paid in full prior to the final exam)

Get Started/Prerequisites 

  • Must have High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be 18 or older when scheduling the NREMT Exam after successful completion of course
  • Must be able to PASS a 10-panel drug screening (Conducted at LifeLine Academy)
  • Must be able to PASS a background check with no felony convictions

  • 1 uniform shirt
  • 1 State & Federal Background Check

  • American Heart Association BLS CPR card

12 Week EMT-Basic Course

THIS COURSE IS DESIGNED FOR HIGHER EDUCATION AND IS TAUGHT AT THE COLLEGE LEVEL

Tuition: $1,600.00     Deposit: $200.00 

(Course MUST be paid in full prior to the final exam)

  • COVID 19 Vaccine (preferred) or submit to weekly PCR Testing (at student cost)
  • Current TB Test
  • Current Flu Shot (Preferred)
  • Measles, Mumps & Rubella (MMR)

14 Week AEMT Course

THIS COURSE IS DESIGNED FOR HIGHER EDUCATION AND IS TAUGHT AT THE COLLEGE LEVEL 

Tuition: $2,500.00     Deposit: $300.00 

(Course MUST be paid in full prior to the final exam)

Getting Started/Prerequisites:

  • Must have High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be 18 or older when scheduling the NREMT Exam after successful completion of course
  • Must be able to PASS a 10-panel drug screening (Conducted at LifeLine Academy)
  • Must be able to PASS a background check with no felony convictions
  • Valid MI EMT-B license & Current CPR card (BLS)
  • *Vaccine Records Required & Must be Current*
  • COVID 19 Vaccine (preferred) or submit to weekly PCR Testing (at student cost)
  • Current TB Test
  • Current Flu Shot (Preferred)
  • Measles, Mumps & Rubella (MMR)
